Mulay's Italian Burger
6 - 1/3 lb burgers or 12 - 3 oz sliders
1 pkg Mulay's Italian Ground
1 lb ABF Ground Beef (Antibiotic Free)
1 egg (optional)
6 Buns or 12 Slider Rolls
1 Lg Onion, cut into rings
1 Red & Green Pepper, cut into rings
1 Cup Marinara Sauce**
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
Mozzarella/ Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Preheat BBQ or Smoker to 350° F (medium)
Mix meats and egg together with hands until completely combined. Divide into sections - 6 for burgers or 12 for sliders, shape into patties, set aside on tray.
Cut peppers and onions into slices of rings, place in medium bowl, cover with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, stir until completely covered.
Put veggies on grilling tray and put on grill stirring occasionally, after 10 min raise temperature to 425° F (medium high)
Once grill is to temp, place burgers on grill and cook about 5-6 min per side, or until desired temp (145° F fro medium rare). After flipping, with about 1-2 min remaining add the cheese of your choice. While burgers are cooking heat up marinara sauce.
When burgers are done assemble your burgers/sliders by adding peppers, onions, and marinara sauce to the top of your burger/bun and serve. Serve buffet style allowing for individual creativity!
