1. Where to Buy

Where can I find Mulay’s in stores?

Use the Store Locator on our website and enter your zip code or city. We list stores within a 25-mile radius.

If there isn’t a store near you, we’re happy to ship directly to your home.


Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. Every order is carefully packed in insulated coolers with dry ice to maintain product integrity and ready for your freezer.

We have a $75 minimum order (approximately 8–9 packages). This ensures:

  • Products stay properly frozen in insulated packaging with dry ice

  • Shipping materials are used efficiently

Pro tip: Stock up and freeze extras for easy meals later.


2. Ordering & Shipping

When will my Mulays.com order ship?

Orders placed by Sunday at 5:00 PM MST ship the following Monday or Tuesday.

Creating an account makes future ordering easier and allows you to track your purchases.


I ordered from another online retailer.

Shipping policies vary by retailer.

After thawing, Mulay's can be stored:

  • 21 days refrigerated (unopened)

  • Up to 5 days once opened

For shipping-related concerns, please contact the retailer directly.

What’s in Mulay’s products?

Just meat and spices.

All Mulay’s products are:

  • Certified Free From the Big 9 Allergens

  • No antibiotics ever!

  • Sugar free

  • Nitrate free

  • MSG free

  • Preservative free

We have always made our products this way.


Are you really free from allergens?

Yes. Mulay’s is proudly Certified Free From the Big 9 Allergens, including sesame.


Are your claims third-party certified?

Yes. We carry multiple third-party certifications so you don’t have to take our word for it.

Do your products contain garlic?

Only our Chorizo contains garlic.


Do your products contain pepper?

Yes. All products contain pepper, and many flavors include red pepper.


What are your casings made from?

We use natural hog casings.


I have a specific spice allergy.

4. Storage & Freshness

How long does Mulay’s last in the freezer?

Unopened product can last over a year in the freezer. For best flavor, we recommend enjoying within 12 months.


How long does Mulay’s last in the refrigerator?

After thawing:

  • 21 days refrigerated (unopened)

  • Up to 5 days once opened

  • Meatballs: 21 days unopened


Where is the expiration date?

If purchased frozen:
There is no expiration date. Product is produced and frozen immediately.
You will see:

  • An EST (establishment) number

  • A Production/Julian Date stamped in white ink on the black packaging

If purchased refrigerated:
The store should apply a code-date sticker. If no code date is present, please contact the store where purchased and let us know the location so we can follow up.


How do I read a Julian Date?

Example: 1337

  • First digit = last digit of production year (2021 = 1)

  • Remaining three digits = day of the year produced (337 = December 3)

You can search online for a “Julian date calendar” for quick reference.


5. Cooking

Are Mulay’s products previously cooked?

No. All products are raw, except our German Franks, which are fully cooked.

Cook to an internal temperature of 145°F.

These are lean products, so avoid overcooking.


How to Cook Meatballs

Stovetop (Fast Method)

  1. Brown meatballs in olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add your favorite sauce.

  3. Simmer 10–15 minutes until heated through.

Oven

  • Place in baking dish.

  • Add 1 cup broth or sauce.

  • Cover and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes.

Slow Cooker

  • Add raw meatballs to sauce.

  • Cook on low for 3+ hours.


How to Cook Sausage Links

Stovetop

  • Add ½" water and 2 Tbsp oil to pan.

  • Cover and simmer until water evaporates.

  • Remove lid and brown. (12–15 minutes)

Oven

  • Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.

Grill

  • Grill 12–15 minutes, turning halfway.

Internal temperature: 145°F.


How to Cook Ground Sausage

Stovetop

  • Cook in skillet over medium heat, crumbling as needed (12–15 minutes).

Oven

  • Bake patties at 400°F for 15 minutes.

Grill

  • Grill patties 12–15 minutes, turning halfway.

Internal temperature: 145°F.
