Cacao nibs are all the rage now. We cooked up this amazing and simple ragu and put it over the pasta shape of 2024 - Creste di Gallo.

This delicious and simple ragu is made using our Nana's Ground Sausage. We incorporated cacao nibs for a special twist and put it over the pasta shape of 2024 - Creste di Gallo.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped finely
1 sweet onion, chopped finely

1 package of Nana’s ground sausage
1 can of your favorite tomatoes, diced
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
2 tablespoons of pine nuts
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 pinch of cloves
1/8 teaspoon of red chili flakes
¼ cup of roasted cacao nibs
salt and pepper
fresh lemon juice
¼ cup Italian parsley
1lb Creste di Gallo pasta
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a skillet and cook the onions until soft and translucent.
Add the finely chopped garlic until fragrant.
Add the Nana’s ground sausage and lightly brown.
Add in the tomato paste and mix with the ground sausage.
Once the paste is mixed in (about 1 minute), add the canned tomatoes, pine nuts, spices and season with salt and pepper.
Cook uncovered on medium low for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and top with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Cook pasta per the package directions.
Mix in the cacao nibs to the ragu before adding to your favorite pasta and top with Italian parsley.
