Thanksgiving with the Mulay's Family

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We all know the holiday season is right around the corner, and everyone is getting excited about Thanksgiving dinner with friends, family, and laughs - I’ve even heard some Christmas music already finding its way on the playlist. In the Mulay’s household, while Christmas is also a time to highlight, first, there is Thanksgiving. My Mother’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! So you can bet the Mulay’s household will be filled with food and family.

We have a few long-standing Thanksgiving traditions to uphold, but first, my favorite - sausage stuffing an absolute food staple at any thanksgiving celebration! This recipe is easy, popular, and available on our website. It started in the Mulays family kitchen and is a staple on our Thanksgiving table. Also on the table, there will be our turkey, mashed potatoes, fried Okra, and four different kinds of pie, along with so much more. Enough food always gets made to feed an army!

Food is all well and good; don’t get me wrong, I cannot wait to eat. However, Thanksgiving is about friends, family, and being grateful for everything you have. So this year, the Mulays household will be keeping it old school by heading back into the mountains of Colorado at my Oma’s house with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins alike. We will spend a week cooking together, playing games, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company and family comfort as we reflect on the past year, grateful for all the good things even as we learn to accept any hard changes.

The time is ticking, and there are so many things we need to do before we enter this holiday season, but I encourage you to take the time on Thanksgiving to step away from all those pestering doubts and worries to enjoy life and those around you. And by all means, the food, topped with your favorite Mulay’s sausage. After all, we are grateful for all of you who have made Mulay’s what it is today!
